Discover the many campsites and vacation villages by the sea of Lido di Fermo.
The sand and gravel beach of Lido di Fermo is perfect for those who love to relax in the sun and those looking for a safe coast to enjoy bathing.
Lido di Fermo is surrounded by lots of greenery and lush hills acting as a protection for the coast against the wind. For this reason, the area is not ventilated and the climate is mild and pleasant.
The cycle path crosses the whole town, starting from Casabianca di Fermo to end in San Tommaso.
The center of Fermo dates back to the Renaissance era and it is really interesting to walk through its streets. It is worth visiting the Palazzo dei Priori which houses the Pinacoteca Civile and the valuable archaeological collection “Dai Villanoviani ai Piceni”. Another must-see attraction is the historical theater of Fermo, called Teatro dell’Aquila: one of the grandest theaters of the eighteenth century.
In Fermo’s delicatessens and restaurants you can taste some of the delicious typical local products: caciotta cheese, ciauscolo and cooked wine. On August 15th, Fermo celebrates the feast of Maria Assunta, which is very much felt by locals. This religious event also shows the folklore side of the city. In addition, the Cavalcata dell’Assunta also takes place on August 15th.
