Porto Recanati

Extreme offshoot of the Parco del Conero, Porto Recanati is a cozy seaside town with a quiet and peaceful soul, ideal for families with children or anyone who wants to spend happy and carefree days between a dip in the sea, a walk through the bars of the center or a bike ride along the cycle paths which are still the pride of this stretch of coast.

The seafront is beautiful: completely closed to traffic and dotted with excellent bathing establishments overlooking wide pebble beaches protected by the striking profile of Monte Conero, the old town is no less, gathered around the mighty Castello Svevo and consisting of picturesque alleys and lanes converging on the central Corso Matteotti, with its trendy restaurants, cocktail bars and glittering store windows.      

We recommend, after lazy days spent doing nothing, a visit to some of the most famous places in the area. Loreto, first of all, with the Sanctuary of the Holy House, a destination for pilgrimages from all over the world; and then Recanati, birthplace of the poet Giacomo Leopardi, which stands on the famous Colli dell'Infinito of the Riviera del Conero.
